COLUMBIA, SC – After a week that saw major endorsements from the likes of former Richland County Councilwoman Kit Smith, North Columbia leaders Henry Hopkins and civil rights icon Rev. The ad, which includes appearances from Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin, Columbia Firefighters Association President Victor Kemper, District 2 City Councilman Ed McDowell, local community leader Sandra Sims and others from across Columbia, is the latest addition to Johnson’s paid media push which includes direct mail, multiple social media videos and two Johnson for Mayor radio ads Fresh Start and Leadership which also features Mayor Benjamin.
See the Transcript bellow:
I’m Sam Johnson. I’m running for Mayor because we aren’t a campaign, we’re Columbia.
We’re mothers and fathers, strivers and survivors, firefighters, teachers and whole families together.
We don’t talk about fixing potholes – we do it. We don’t say we support public safety…we prove it.
We imagine tomorrow, we imagine Columbia… and we never stand alone.
Please vote on November 2nd, because this is our moment.
We are Columbia, so let’s Imagine Columbia together.
